# Nate Lowman

American painter

**Nate Lowman** (born 1979 in [Las Vegas Valley](/source/Las_Vegas_Valley)) is an American artist working in the genre of pop art.[1]

He grew up in [Idyllwild, California](/source/Idyllwild%E2%80%93Pine_Cove%2C_California),[2] where he graduated from [Idyllwild Arts Academy](/source/Idyllwild_Arts_Academy).[3] He received his [Bachelor of Science](/source/Bachelor_of_Science) degree from [New York University](/source/New_York_University) in 2001.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

The first solo exhibition of his work in New York City was held in 2009 at the Maccarone Gallery.[4] Lowman had a solo exhibition at the gallery [Salon 94](/source/Salon_94) from November 7, 2010, until January 12, 2011.[5][6] Lowman has also collaborated with the fashion brand [Supreme](/source/Supreme_(brand)).[7]
