==Early life==
Jenkinson comes from a family of boxers. ==Career==
Jenkinson qualified for the Australian Judo Team, and competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's half-heavyweight event. After the Olympics, Jenkinson changed to coaching and competing in [athletics](/source/Sport_of_athletics), and trained [masters athletics](/source/masters_athletics) competitors Michael Curran and Hughie Thomsen. At the Queensland Country Athletics Championships, held at the [University of the Sunshine Coast](/source/University_of_the_Sunshine_Coast) in April 2006, Jenkinson entered the women's 20-plus throwing events and won silver in the [discus throw](/source/discus_throw), gold in the [javelin throw](/source/javelin_throw) and gold in the [shot put](/source/shot_put).<ref>{{Cite news|url=https://www.gladstoneobserver.com.au/news/apn-judo-rep-gets-masters-on/107611/|title=Judo rep gets masters on track|date=26 April 2006|work=The Observer (Gladstone)|access-date=15 November 2019}}</ref>

Jenkinson also competed in Boxing and won four Australian Titles. In August 2016, at age 40, Jenkinson was a coach at the Hit House Boxing Club at [Bli Bli, Queensland](/source/Bli_Bli%2C_Queensland).
