== Career ==
Temple formed his own band in 1944, and worked with [Benny Lee](/source/Benny_Lee), [Frankie Vaughan](/source/Frankie_Vaughan), [Joy Nichols](/source/Joy_Nichols), [Lita Roza](/source/Lita_Roza), [David Whitfield](/source/David_Whitfield), [Anne Shelton](/source/Anne_Shelton_(singer)), [Beryl Davis](/source/Beryl_Davis), [Julie Andrews](/source/Julie_Andrews) and The Keynotes.

After World War II, Temple worked with [Bernard Braden](/source/Bernard_Braden) and [Barbara Kelly](/source/Barbara_Kelly) on ''Breakfast with Braden'', along with the BBC announcer, Ronald Fletcher. Temple's band also played on the radio show ''[Music While You Work](/source/Music_While_You_Work)'' until 1983.  
 
On television, he provided the band for ''[Crackerjack](/source/Crackerjack_(TV_series))'' with [Eamonn Andrews](/source/Eamonn_Andrews), as well as ''[Nuts in May with Frankie Howerd](/source/Frankie_Howerd)'', ''[The Time of Your Life with Noel Edmonds](/source/Noel_Edmonds)'', ''[The Russell Harty Show](/source/Russell_Harty)'', ''Tune Times With Temple'', ''A Jolly Good Time'', ''Dance Music Through the Ages'' and ''Starstruck''.

Temple was married to Freda for over 62 years. She died on 5 June 2005. They had four daughters and six grandchildren.

He stopped playing live around 2004, and lived near [Woking](/source/Woking), [Surrey](/source/Surrey).

Nat Temple died at home on 30 May 2008, aged 94.<ref name="Dead"/>
