# Namibia National Front

The '''Namibia National Front''' ('''NNF''') was an alliance of moderate nationalist parties in [Namibia](/source/Namibia). It was formed in 1977<ref name="KDA">{{cite web

|accessdate=25 July 2013}}</ref> as a merger of the [Namibia National Convention](/source/Namibia_National_Convention) (which had been marginalized after [SWAPO](/source/SWAPO)'s departure from it) and the [Namibia National Council](/source/Namibia_National_Council).

At the time of its formation, the NNF consisted of the following groups:

* [Damara Executive Committee](/source/Damara_Executive_Committee)
* [Federal Party](/source/Federal_Party_(Namibia))
* [South West African National Union](/source/South_West_African_National_Union)
* [Mbanderu Council](/source/Mbanderu_Council)
* [Namibia Progressive Party](/source/Namibia_Progressive_Party)
* [Namibia Independence Party](/source/Namibia_Independence_Party)
* [Voice of the People Party](/source/Voice_of_the_People_Party_(Namibia))

In 1978, some groups left NNF to form [Namibia People's Liberation Front](/source/Namibia_People's_Liberation_Front).

The NNF contested the elections for the [Constituent Assembly of Namibia](/source/Constituent_Assembly_of_Namibia) in 1989 and won one seat<ref>{{cite book
