Nakonde lies on the main Highway that connects Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, to [Kapiri Mposhi](/source/Kapiri_Mposhi), [Isoka](/source/Isoka), through Nakonde and on to [Tunduma](/source/Tunduma) and [Dar es Salaam](/source/Dar_es_Salaam), in neighboring [Tanzania](/source/Tanzania).
