**Nagod Assembly constituency** is one of the 230 [Vidhan Sabha](/source/Madhya_Pradesh_Vidhan_Sabha) (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh) state in central [India](/source/India).[1] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 48 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile [Vindhya Pradesh](/source/Vindhya_Pradesh) state,[2] but it was abolished in 1956. It again came into existence in 1966, following the delimitation of the legislative assembly constituencies.

## Overview

Nagod (constituency number 64) is one of the seven Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in [Satna district](/source/Satna_district). This constituency covers the entire Unchehara [tehsil](/source/Tehsil), Nagod [nagar panchayat](/source/Nagar_panchayat) and part of Nagod tehsil of the district.[3]

Nagod is part of [Satna Lok Sabha constituency](/source/Satna_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)) along with six other Vidhan Sabha segments of this district, namely, [Chitrakoot](/source/Chitrakoot%2C_Madhya_Pradesh_Assembly_constituency), [Raigaon](/source/Raigaon_Assembly_constituency), [Satna](/source/Satna_Assembly_constituency), [Amarpatan](/source/Amarpatan_Assembly_constituency), [Maihar](/source/Maihar_Assembly_constituency) and [Rampur-Baghelan](/source/Rampur-Baghelan_Assembly_constituency).[3]
