**Nadeem Ahmed** (born 28 September 1987) is a [Pakistani](/source/Pakistan)-born [Hong Kong](/source/Hong_Kong) [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who appeared in one [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) against [Pakistan](/source/Pakistan_national_cricket_team) in 2004; he bowled 10 overs without taking a wicket and scored 1.[1] He also appeared in two first-class matches in the [2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup](/source/2005_ICC_Intercontinental_Cup), taking three wickets.[2]

In December 2017, he finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the [2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship](/source/2015%E2%80%9317_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Championship), with 24 wickets in 11 matches.[3]

In August 2018, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup Qualifier](/source/2018_Asia_Cup_Qualifier) tournament.[4] Hong Kong won the qualifier tournament, and he was then named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup](/source/2018_Asia_Cup).[5]

In October 2018, he was charged with five offences under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.[6] In August 2019, the ICC banned him and his brother and fellow Hong Kong cricketer [Irfan Ahmed](/source/Irfan_Ahmed) for life from all forms of cricket, on charges related to match-fixing.[7] The majority of the offences related to matches played by Hong Kong against [Canada](/source/Canada_national_cricket_team) and [Scotland](/source/Scotland_national_cricket_team) during the [2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier](/source/2014_Cricket_World_Cup_Qualifier) tournament in New Zealand.[8]
