The '''Muro Dam''' was a [Roman](/source/Ancient_Rome) [dam](/source/dam) in [Portugal](/source/Portugal). Located near the eastern municipality of [Campo Maior](/source/Campo_Maior%2C_Portugal), it is the largest surviving [ancient](/source/Classical_antiquity) dam in the country south of the [Tagus river](/source/Tagus_river).<ref name="Decker 1991, 78–79">{{harnvb|Decker|1991|pp=78–79 (no. 4)}}</ref>

The 174 m long structure features three slight bends in its course. Its downstream side is supported by a series of thirteen small [buttress](/source/buttress)es at intervals of 3–4 m. The central section, where the dam is highest and strongest, is further strengthened on its air-side by three vertical [arch](/source/arch)es which go from buttress to buttress.<ref name="Decker 1991, 78–79"/>
