***Muricauda olearia*** is a [Gram-negative](/source/Gram-negative), [rod-shaped](/source/Rod-shaped) and non-motile bacterium from the genus of [Muricauda](/source/Muricauda) which has been isolated from seawater which was contaminated with [crude oil](/source/Crude_oil) from the west coast of [Korea](/source/Korea).[1][2][3]
