=== 2003 ===
The car made its debut in the hands of the factory team, [Multimatic Motorsports](/source/Multimatic_Motorsports), and achieved a class win at the [24 Hours of Daytona](/source/2003_24_Hours_of_Daytona), albeit fourth overall. This would be the highest result for the car throughout its career. SpeedSource would campaign a car for the final four rounds of the [season](/source/2003_Rolex_Sports_Car_Series) with a best finish of seventh overall at the VIR 400. At the opening race at [Daytona](/source/2004_24_Hours_of_Daytona), four chassis were entered with two each from SpeedSource and Essex Racing. A factory run entry by [Multimatic](/source/Multimatic_Motorsports) at the [2005 24 Hours of Daytona](/source/2005_24_Hours_of_Daytona) saw the #49 driven by [NASCAR](/source/NASCAR) drivers [Kurt Busch](/source/Kurt_Busch), [Matt Kenseth](/source/Matt_Kenseth) and [Greg Biffle](/source/Greg_Biffle). The car would run into mechanical problems for a second year in a row at Daytona when Biffle stopped on track with less than an hour to go.<ref name=":0">{{Cite web |title=24 Hours of Daytona |url=http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/race.php?raceid=12227 |access-date=2025-01-17 |website=www.ultimateracinghistory.com}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |title=Grand Am – Rolex 24 At Daytona – Hours 22, 23, 24 |url=http://archive.dailysportscar.com/subscribers/grandam/2005/rolex24/05race8.htm |access-date=2025-01-17 |website=archive.dailysportscar.com}}</ref> Blackforest Motorsports also retired from the race due to damage from an accident.<ref name=":0" />

The car did not appear in any other races for [2005](/source/2005_Rolex_Sports_Car_Series), with the chassis at a significant aero disadvantage especially when compared to the dominant [Riley MKXI](/source/Riley_MkXI). In 2007, Multimatic would run the car in its final race at the [Montreal 400k](/source/2007_Rolex_Sports_Car_Series) with drivers [Scott Maxwell](/source/Scott_Maxwell) and [Gunnar Jeanette](/source/Gunnar_Jeannette). They would be classified 35th but, retired from the race. The reason for the entry was due to Grand-Am rules where Proto-Auto (association between [Lola](/source/Lola_Cars) and [Krohn Racing](/source/Krohn_Racing)) bought the constructor's license from Multimatic.
