**Mule Key** is an island in the [Florida Keys](/source/Florida_Keys) in [Monroe County](/source/Monroe_County%2C_Florida), [Florida](/source/Florida), [United States](/source/United_States). It is within the boundaries of the [Key West National Wildlife Refuge](/source/Key_West_National_Wildlife_Refuge).

Located in the Outlying Islands of the Florida Keys, it is the easternmost of the [Mule Keys](/source/Mule_Keys) that are 9 miles (15 km) west of [Key West](/source/Key_West%2C_Florida).[1]
