# Mugi, Gifu

**Mugi** (武儀町, *Mugi-chō*) was a [town](/source/List_of_towns_in_Japan) located in [Mugi District](/source/Mugi_District,_Gifu), [Gifu Prefecture](/source/Gifu_Prefecture), [Japan](/source/Japan).

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 4,038 and a [density](/source/Population_density) of 61.87 persons per km2. The total area was 65.27 km2.

On February 7, 2005, Mugi, along with the town of [Mugegawa](/source/Mugegawa,_Gifu), and the villages of [Horado](/source/Horado,_Gifu), [Itadori](/source/Itadori,_Gifu) and [Kaminoho](/source/Kaminoho,_Gifu) (all from [Mugi District](/source/Mugi_District,_Gifu)), was merged into the expanded city of [Seki](/source/Seki,_Gifu).[1]
