# Muchka

**Muchka** ([Quechua](/source/Quechua_language) for [mortar](/source/Mortar_and_pestle),[1] also spelled *Muchca*) is a mountain in the [Cordillera Central](/source/Cordillera_Central_(Peru)) in the [Andes](/source/Andes) of [Peru](/source/Peru) which reaches a height of approximately 4,600 metres (15,092 ft). It is located in the [Lima Region](/source/Lima_Region), [Yauyos Province](/source/Yauyos_Province), on the border of the districts of [Alis](/source/Alis_District) and [Vitis](/source/Vitis_District), northwest of Alis.[2]
