The **Movement for Unification** (Albanian: *Lëvizja për Bashkim*, *LB*) is a [political party](/source/Political_party) in [Kosovo](/source/Kosovo). Its main goal is [unification of Kosovo](/source/Unification_of_Albania_and_Kosovo) and all other former [Yugoslavian](/source/Yugoslavia) territories populated by [Albanians](/source/Albanians) to [Albania](/source/Albania). Its leader is Avni Klinaku, known as co-founder of former [National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo](/source/National_Movement_for_the_Liberation_of_Kosovo) (Albanian: *Lëvizjes Kombëtare për Çlirimin e Kosovës, LKÇK*), a [nationalist](/source/Albanian_nationalism) organization of the 1980s promoting active resistance and [separation](/source/Secession) of Kosovo from Yugoslavia, having some connections to [People's Movement of Kosovo](/source/People's_Movement_of_Kosovo) (PMK).[1]

## Political activity

During [2010 elections in Kosovo](/source/2010_Kosovan_parliamentary_election), the party ran in [coalition](/source/Coalition) with [Vetëvendosje](/source/Vet%C3%ABvendosje), within the latter's [parliamentary group](/source/Parliamentary_group), but split the following year.[2][3]

LB was the promoter of the [parliamentary resolute](/source/Act_of_Parliament) of 6 September 2012 for replacing all [telephony codes](/source/List_of_country_calling_codes) of [Kosovo](/source/Kosovo) with [+355](/source/Telephone_numbers_in_Albania) of [Albania](/source/Albania),[4][5] which was ignored by [Kosovo government](/source/Government_of_Kosovo) and overruled by the [controversial](/source/Controversy) [agreements](/source/Belgrade%E2%80%93Pristina_negotiations) in [Brussels](/source/Brussels).[6][7]

On 23 May 2011, [Movement for Integration and Unification](/source/Movement_for_Integration_and_Unification), (Albanian: *Lëvizja për Integrim dhe Bashkim, LBI*) joined LB.[8] [MIU](/source/Movement_for_Integration_and_Unification) had been the main successor of [National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo](/source/National_Movement_for_the_Liberation_of_Kosovo), with [Fadil Fazliu](/source/Fadil_Fazliu) being the leader after the resignation of Smajl Latifi.[9]
