**Moustapha Fall** (born 23 February 1992) is a French professional [basketball](/source/Basketball) player for [Olympiacos](/source/Olympiacos_B.C.) of the [Greek Basket League](/source/Greek_Basket_League) (GBL) and the [EuroLeague](/source/EuroLeague). He is also a member of the senior men's [French national team](/source/French_men's_national_basketball_team). Standing at 2.18 m (7 ft 2 in), Fall plays at the [center](/source/Center_(basketball)) position. He is an excellent defender, finishing effectively in almost all pass under the basket, while often serving as a [racket playmaker](/source/Center_(basketball)#2010s:_Rise_of_stretch_five_and_playmaking_centers) as he is pretty good passer.[1][2]

## Professional career

Fall played in the [French league](/source/LNB_Pro_A) from 2011 to 2017. In the 2015–16 season, he played for [Olympique Antibes](/source/Olympique_Antibes) where he led the French league in blocked shots.[3] He signed with Élan Chalon for the 2016–17 season. This season, Chalon won the [Pro A](/source/LNB_Pro_A), which was Fall's first national title. In addition, Fall played in the [FIBA Europe Cup](/source/FIBA_Europe_Cup) Final with Chalon, where his team lost to [Nanterre 92](/source/Nanterre_92). He was named Top Performer of the Final by the FIBA Europe Cup.[4]

Prior to the start of the French season, Fall participated in the 2016 [NBA Summer League](/source/NBA_Summer_League) in Las Vegas with the [Los Angeles Lakers](/source/Los_Angeles_Lakers).[3]

On 13 July 2017 Fall signed with Turkish club [Sakarya BB](/source/Sakarya_BB).[5]

On 26 July 2018 Fall signed with [Lokomotiv Kuban](/source/PBC_Lokomotiv_Kuban) of the Russian [VTB United League](/source/VTB_United_League).[6]

On 21 July 2019 Fall signed a contract with the [Türk Telekom](/source/T%C3%BCrk_Telekom_B.K.) of the [Turkish Basketball Super League](/source/Basketbol_S%C3%BCper_Ligi).[7] In October 2020, Fall was named to the [All-Basketball Champions League Second Team](/source/Basketball_Champions_League_Star_Lineup).[8]

In June 2021, Fall signed with [Olympiacos](/source/Olympiacos_B.C.) of Greece.[9] On 28 February 2022, he extended his contract with the team until 2025.[10] On 18 February 2024, Fall won his third consecutive Greek Cup with the team. He recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the final and was named the tournament's MVP.[11] On 15 March 2024, Fall signed an early contract extension with Olympiacos through 2027. On 6 June 2025, he suffered a [patellar tendon rupture](/source/Patellar_tendon_rupture) during Game 3 of the [GBL](/source/Greek_Basketball_League) finals and is scheduled to be out of action for a period of 10 to 12 months.[12]

## National team career

Fall has been a member of the senior [French national team](/source/French_men's_national_basketball_team). He has played with France's national team at the [2021 FIBA Summer Olympics](/source/Basketball_at_the_2021_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_tournament), the [2022 FIBA EuroBasket](/source/2022_FIBA_EuroBasket), and the [2023 FIBA World Cup](/source/2023_FIBA_World_Cup). He won silver medals with France at the 2021 Summer Olympics and the 2022 EuroBasket.

## Personal life

Born in Paris, Fall is of Senegalese descent. He is not related to [Tacko Fall](/source/Tacko_Fall)[13] or Youssoupha Fall.

He is a potential defender, finishing effectively in almost all passes under the basket, while often serving as a [racket playmaker](/source/Center_(basketball)#2010s:_Rise_of_stretch_five_and_playmaking_centers) as he is a skilled passer.[1][2]
