# Mount Ramon

**Mount Ramon**, or **Har Ramon**, is a mountain in the [Negev](/source/Negev) desert in [Israel](/source/Israel), near the [Egyptian](/source/Egypt) border and southwest of the well-known [Ramon Crater](/source/Ramon_Crater).[1] Its elevation is 1,037 metres (3,402 ft) above sea level[2] and it is the summit of the [Negev Mountains](/source/Negev_Mountains).[3]

It is the highest mountain in the [Southern District (Israel)](/source/Southern_District_(Israel)).[citation needed]
