University of Minnesota, 2019</ref> in eastern [Bigla Ridge](/source/Bigla_Ridge) on [Heros Peninsula](/source/Heros_Peninsula), [Foyn Coast](/source/Foyn_Coast) on the [Antarctic Peninsula](/source/Antarctic_Peninsula). It surmounts [Beaglehole Glacier](/source/Beaglehole_Glacier) to the west and [Cabinet Inlet](/source/Cabinet_Inlet) to the northeast.

The feature is named after Todor Popov, physician at [St. Kliment Ohridski Base](/source/St._Kliment_Ohridski_Base) during the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons.

Mount Popov is located at {{coord|66|31|35|S|63|55|24|W|display=inline, title}}, which is 12.3&nbsp;km southwest of [Balder Point](/source/Balder_Point), 8.96&nbsp;km northwest of [Spur Point](/source/Spur_Point) and 13.3&nbsp;km northeast of [Varad Point](/source/Varad_Point).  British mapping in 1974.
