**Mount Noel** is a [Miocene](/source/Miocene) volcanic complex in the [Chilcotin Group](/source/Chilcotin_Group) in [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), [Canada](/source/Canada), located 7 km (4 mi) southwest of [Bralorne](/source/Bralorne%2C_British_Columbia) and north of a tributary of [Noel Creek](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Noel_Creek&action=edit&redlink=1). It is 150 km (93 mi) east of the [Garibaldi Volcanic Belt](/source/Garibaldi_Volcanic_Belt) and is made up of flat-lying, columnar-jointed [basalt](/source/Basalt) flows along with [debris flows](/source/Debris_flow) and minor [pyroclastic rocks](/source/Pyroclastic_rock). Mount Noel is thought to have formed as a result of [back-arc extension](/source/Back-arc_basin) behind the [Cascadia subduction zone](/source/Cascadia_subduction_zone).[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]
