# Mount Lawrence

**Mount Lawrence** ([67°51′S 62°31′E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=67_51_S_62_31_E)) is a [peak](/source/Mountain_peak), 1,230 metres (4,040 ft) high, just north of [Mount Coates](/source/Mount_Coates_(Mac._Robertson_Land)) in the [David Range](/source/David_Range) of the [Framnes Mountains](/source/Framnes_Mountains), [Mac. Robertson Land](/source/Mac._Robertson_Land), Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the [Lars Christensen Expedition](/source/Lars_Christensen_Expedition), 1936–37, and was named by the [Antarctic Names Committee of Australia](/source/Antarctic_Names_Committee_of_Australia) for [J. Lawrence](/source/J._Lawrence_(mechanic)), a diesel mechanic at [Mawson Station](/source/Mawson_Station) in 1959.[1]
