'''Mount Imhotep''' is a mountain rising near the head of [Hippocrates Glacier](/source/Hippocrates_Glacier) in the southern part of [Brabant Island](/source/Brabant_Island), in the [Palmer Archipelago](/source/Palmer_Archipelago), Antarctica. It was first mapped by the [Belgian Antarctic Expedition](/source/Belgian_Antarctic_Expedition) under [Gerlache](/source/Gerlache), 1897–99. The mountain was photographed by [Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd](/source/Hunting_Aerosurveys_Ltd) in 1956–57, mapped from these photos in 1959, and named by the [UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee](/source/UK_Antarctic_Place-Names_Committee) for [Imhotep](/source/Imhotep), who lived in [Ancient Egypt](/source/Ancient_Egypt) and was the first [physician](/source/physician) to emerge as an individual.<ref name=gnis/>
