Based on the [Köppen climate classification](/source/K%C3%B6ppen_climate_classification), Mount Huber is located in a [subarctic climate](/source/subarctic_climate) zone with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers.<ref name=KGcc2007>{{Cite Köppen-Geiger cc 2007}}</ref> Temperatures can drop below {{cvt|−20|C}} with wind chill factors  below {{cvt|−30|C}}. Precipitation [runoff](/source/Surface_runoff) from Mount Huber drains into tributaries of the [Kicking Horse River](/source/Kicking_Horse_River) which is a tributary of the [Columbia River](/source/Columbia_River).
