==Description==
Mount Chudleigh is set in the Malte Brun Range of the [Southern Alps](/source/Southern_Alps) and is situated in the [Canterbury Region](/source/Canterbury_Region) of [South Island](/source/South_Island).<ref name=climbnz/> This remote peak is located {{convert|11|km|mi}} east of [Aoraki / Mount Cook](/source/Aoraki_%2F_Mount_Cook) in [Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park](/source/Aoraki_%2F_Mount_Cook_National_Park). Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains into tributaries of the [Tasman River](/source/Tasman_River). [Topographic relief](/source/Topographic_relief) is significant as the summit rises {{convert|1966|m|ft|abbr=off}} above the [Murchison River](/source/Murchison_River_(New_Zealand)) in 3.4&nbsp;kilometres and over {{convert|1866|m|ft|abbr=off}} above the [Tasman Glacier](/source/Tasman_Glacier) in 3.7&nbsp;kilometres. This climate supports the Barkley, Onslow, Lecky, Reay, Walpole, and Langdale glaciers on the peak's slopes.
