==Biography==
Born in [Sosnowiec](/source/Sosnowiec), [Poland](/source/Poland) in 1933 to a [Jewish](/source/Jewish) family, Harif [immigrated](/source/Aliyah) to [Mandatory Palestine](/source/Mandatory_Palestine) the following year. He attended [Beit Hinuch](/source/Beit_Hinuch) high school in [Jerusalem](/source/Jerusalem), and went on to study architecture and urban construction at the [Technion](/source/Technion_%E2%80%93_Israel_Institute_of_Technology).<ref name=":0">{{Cite web |title=חבר הכנסת משה חריף |trans-title=Member of the Kneesset Moshe Harif |url=https://m.knesset.gov.il/mk/Apps/mk/mk-print/424 |access-date=2025-12-15 |website=Knesset}}</ref>

In 1952 he joined Kibbutz [Tzora](/source/Tzora). He became a member of the {{ill|Meuhedet|he|התנועה המאוחדת}} movement, and served as its co-ordinator in the Jerusalem area from 1953 until 1955, and as its secretary from 1958 until 1959. Between 1968 and 1974 he worked in the planning department of [Kibbutz HaMeuhad](/source/Kibbutz_HaMeuhad). He later became secretary of [Ihud HaKvutzot VeHaKibbutzim](/source/Ihud_HaKvutzot_VeHaKibbutzim) and helped establish the [United Kibbutz Movement](/source/United_Kibbutz_Movement), a merger of the two organisations.<ref name=":0" />
==Political career==
In [1981](/source/1981_Israeli_legislative_election) he was elected to the [Knesset](/source/Knesset) on the [Alignment](/source/Alignment_(political_party)) list.
