**Moroeni**, also spelled **Moroieni**, is a [commune](/source/Commune_in_Romania) in [Dâmbovița County](/source/D%C3%A2mbovi%C8%9Ba_County), [Muntenia](/source/Muntenia), [Romania](/source/Romania). It is composed of six villages: Dobrești, [Glod](/source/Glod,_D%C3%A2mbovi%C8%9Ba), Lunca, Moroeni, Mușcel, and Pucheni.

The commune is located at the northern extremity of the county, covering the southern end of the [Bucegi Mountains](/source/Bucegi_Mountains). The [Ialomița River](/source/Ialomi%C8%9Ba_(river)), which has its source just north of Moroeni, flows through it.
