Waters was first seen on the [CBC](/source/Canadian_Broadcasting_Corporation)'s children's program ''[The X](/source/The_X_(CBC))'', which was canceled in 2003. Born in [Victoria](/source/Victoria%2C_British_Columbia), [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), Waters moved to [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario) to host ''[The Morgan Waters Show](/source/The_Morgan_Waters_Show)'', which aired on [CBC Television](/source/CBC_Television) in 2006. Waters competed in the 2000 Much VJ search but lost to Bradford Howe. He later worked for the [Muchmusic](/source/Muchmusic) show ''[Screwed Over](/source/Screwed_Over)'' in October 2006.

He created and appeared on the show ''[Cock'd Gunns](/source/Cock'd_Gunns)'', which aired in 2007–2008 on the [IFC](/source/Independent_Film_Channel_(Canada)).

He has been writing, directing and starring in the comedy web series ''[The Amazing Gayl Pile](/source/The_Amazing_Gayl_Pile)'' since it premiered on JASH in 2014.
