**Morgan Price** (born June 28, 2005) is an American [artistic gymnast](/source/Artistic_gymnastics) for [University of Arkansas](/source/Arkansas_Razorbacks_gymnastics).

## Early life

Born in [Lebanon, Tennessee](/source/Lebanon,_Tennessee), Price is the daughter of Chris, a former baseball player for a [Kansas City Royals](/source/Kansas_City_Royals) [farm team](/source/Farm_team) who died in a motorcycle collision in 2009.[1] Her mother, Marsha, was a cheerleader at [Vanderbilt University](/source/Vanderbilt_University).[2][3][1]

Price took up gymnastics at age two, attending Overbrook Catholic School in [Nashville](/source/Nashville,_Tennessee) during her younger years.[4]

## Gymnastics career

In 2013, Price moved to [Coppell, Texas](/source/Coppell,_Texas), to train at [Kim Zmeskal](/source/Kim_Zmeskal)'s [Texas Dreams](/source/Texas_Dreams_Gymnastics) gymnastics academy.[3][1] In 2021 and 2022, she competed in the [Nastia Liukin Cup](/source/Nastia_Liukin_Cup), once placing third on [bars](/source/Uneven_bars).[5][6] She graduated from [Coppell High School](/source/Coppell_High_School) a year early in 2022.[2]

A five-star college recruit, Price originally committed in November 2021 to compete in gymnastics on a full scholarship for the [University of Arkansas](/source/Arkansas_Razorbacks_gymnastics) (where her sister Frankie competed).[5][7][8] She decommitted from Arkansas in May 2022 after she was invited by coach [Corrinne Tarver](/source/Corrinne_Tarver) to compete for [Fisk University](/source/Fisk_University), a [historically black](/source/Historically_black_colleges_and_universities) school planning to become the first to launch a gymnastics program.[1][2][7]

In Price's first year, the Fisk Lady Gymdogs held their first season. She was one of three Gymdogs to qualify for the 2023 [USA Gymnastics](/source/USA_Gymnastics) Collegiate National Championships, where she placed third in [floor exercise](/source/Floor_(gymnastics)) and eighth in all-around.[9][10]

In April 2024, Price won the [USA Gymnastics](/source/USA_Gymnastics)' 2024 Women's Collegiate National Championships, making her the first gymnast from a [historically black college or university](/source/Historically_black_colleges_and_universities) to win a [USA Gymnastics](/source/USA_Gymnastics) national collegiate championship. Her all-around score was 39.225.[11]

On February 8 2025, Price became the first HBCU gymnast to score a perfect 10 on uneven bars.[12]

In February 2026, Price became the first Arkansas gymnast to score a perfect 10 doing so on Vault during a home meet.
