**Monsea** (*Maigh Saotha* in [Irish](/source/Irish_language))[1][2] is a [civil parish](/source/Civil_parishes_in_Ireland) and [townland](/source/Townland) in the [Baronies](/source/Barony_(Ireland)) of [Ormond Lower](/source/Ormond_Lower) and [Owney and Arra](/source/Owney_and_Arra) in [County Tipperary](/source/County_Tipperary), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland). Nine of the townlands within the civil parish (including Monsea townland) are located in Ormond Lower with three townlands located in Owney and Arra.

The civil parish of Monsea is in the [Dáil constituency](/source/D%C3%A1il_constituency) of [Offaly](/source/Offaly_(D%C3%A1il_constituency)) which incorporates 24 electoral divisions that were previously in the [Tipperary North Dáil constituency](/source/Tipperary_North_(D%C3%A1il_constituency)).[3]
