# Monroe Museum

The **Monroe Museum** is a history museum in [Monroe](/source/Monroe,_Georgia), Georgia.[1][2] The museum was created by a volunteer committee of Monroe residents and generous support from the community in 2015.[3][4] It details a timeline of Monroe, starting with the [Native Americans](/source/Native_Americans_in_the_United_States) that lived in the area, and ending with the present.[5]
