**Monale** is a *[comune](/source/Comune)* (municipality) in the [Province of Asti](/source/Province_of_Asti) in the [Italian](/source/Italy) region [Piedmont](/source/Piedmont), located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of [Turin](/source/Turin) and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northwest of [Asti](/source/Asti). As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 948 and an area of 9.1 square kilometres (3.5 mi2).[3]
