# Monaga

***Monaga*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic_taxon) [genus](/source/Genus) of Panamanian [jumping spiders](/source/Salticidae) containing the single species, ***Monaga benigna***. It was first described by [Arthur Merton Chickering](/source/Arthur_M._Chickering) in 1946,[2] and is only found in [Panama](/source/Panama).[1]
