***Monaco 2*** is a [stealth](/source/Stealth_game) [action](/source/Action_game) video game developed by [Pocketwatch Games](/source/Pocketwatch_Games) and published by [Humble Games](/source/Humble_Games). The game is a sequel to *[Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine](/source/Monaco%3A_What's_Yours_Is_Mine)* (2013), and was released for [PlayStation 5](/source/PlayStation_5), [Windows](/source/Windows) and [Xbox Series X/S](/source/Xbox_Series_X%2FS) on April 10, 2025. The game includes a form of [isometric](/source/Isometric_graphics) [3D graphics](/source/3D_graphics) as opposed to its predecessor's [2D](/source/2D_graphics) birds-eye view. Further, *Monaco 2*'s introduction of [procedural level generation](/source/Procedural_generation) is new to the series.

## Gameplay

Like its predecessor, *Monaco 2* is a [stealth](/source/Stealth_game) and [action video game](/source/Action_video_game) where the player partakes in heists and robberies.[2] Players will be able to select from a cast of playable characters to assist them in completing the level.[3] The game is planned to include 3D [isometric](/source/Isometric_video_game_graphics) graphics displayed through a [top-down perspective](/source/Top-down_perspective) with camera options to allow players to adjust their vision.[2] Additionally, the introduction of [procedural generation](/source/Procedural_generation) means the levels are not static.[3]

## Development

*Monaco 2* is set to be the sequel to the award winning *[Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine](/source/Monaco%3A_What's_Yours_Is_Mine)* and was announced on March 17, 2022 during the Humble Games Showcase 2022 event by Pocketwatch Games' lead developer [Andy Schatz](/source/Andy_Schatz). An animated [teaser trailer](/source/Teaser_trailer) accompanied the announcement. During the event, Schatz noted that the game would feature [3D graphics](/source/3D_graphics) to allow players to explore vertically,[4] a concept which was compared to *[Mission: Impossible](/source/Mission%3A_Impossible)*,[2] as well as [procedural level generation](/source/Procedural_generation).[3] Despite these changes, he ensured that the game would remain faithful to the genres and themes of its predecessor. Another deviation from *Monaco* is the removal of the [greyscale](/source/Greyscale) [blueprint](/source/Blueprint) map design.[5] At the time, Schatz described the game to be the "ultimate heist simulator",[3] with the procedural generation helping to make the environments feel real. Immediate reception to the announcement was positive, especially regarding the early visualisations.[3] Following the announcement, Schatz [livestreamed](/source/Livestream) the development of *Monaco 2* on [Twitch.tv](/source/Twitch.tv).[2][3]

The game released on April 10, 2025 for [PC](/source/Personal_computer), [PlayStation 5](/source/PlayStation_5), and [Xbox Series X/S](/source/Xbox_Series_X%2FS).[6]
