**Molyneux Park** is a [cricket](/source/Cricket) ground and sports complex in [Alexandra](/source/Alexandra%2C_New_Zealand), [Otago](/source/Otago), New Zealand. It is the main sports venue for the Alexandra area.[1]

Molyneux Park was developed in the 1960s and 1970s. As well as cricket, rugby, softball, netball and bowls facilities it has a seasonal outdoor ice skating rink, squash courts and the Alexandra bike park.[1]

The first recorded cricket match on the ground came in January 1961 when [Central Otago](/source/Central_Otago_cricket_team) played the touring [Marylebone Cricket Club](/source/Marylebone_Cricket_Club_cricket_team_in_New_Zealand_in_1960%E2%80%9361).[2] The ground held its first [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) match during the 1978/79 [Shell Cup](/source/Shell_Trophy#Shell_Trophy) when [Otago](/source/Otago_cricket_team) played [Central Districts](/source/Central_Districts_cricket_team). The following season the first [List A](/source/List_A_cricket) match was held there when Otago played [Wellington](/source/Wellington_cricket_team) in the 1980/81 [Shell Trophy](/source/Shell_Trophy#Shell_Trophy). Molyneux Park has been used as a home venue for Otago since then. As of early 2021 it had hosted 31 first-class matches,[3] 66 List A matches,[4] as well as 10 [Twenty20](/source/Twenty20) matches.[5] Between 2006 and 2009, [Otago Women](/source/Otago_Sparks) used the ground for home matches in the [State League](/source/State_League).[6]

Two Youth [Test matches](/source/Test_cricket) have been played there. The first came in 1999 when [New Zealand Under-19s](/source/New_Zealand_Under-19_cricket_team) played [England Under-19s](/source/England_Under-19_cricket_team), while the second saw New Zealand Under-19s play [South Africa Under-19s](/source/South_Africa_Under-19_cricket_team).[7] Three Youth [One Day Internationals](/source/One_Day_International) were also played there between 1993 and 1995.[8] Molyneux Park is also the home ground for the [Otago Country cricket team](/source/Otago_Country_cricket_team), which competes in the [Hawke Cup](/source/Hawke_Cup).
