# Molecule Island

**Molecule Island** is the easternmost of the [Bragg Islands](/source/Bragg_Islands), lying in [Crystal Sound](/source/Crystal_Sound) 14 km (7.5 nautical miles) north of [Cape Rey](/source/Cape_Rey), [Graham Land](/source/Graham_Land), Antarctica. It was mapped from surveys by the [Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey](/source/Falkland_Islands_Dependencies_Survey) in 1958–59. The name arose from association with [Atom Rock](/source/Atom_Rock) in the same group.[1]
