**Mohamad Hayan Al-Hamwi** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): مُحَمَّد حَيَّان الْحَمَوِيّ, born June 9, 1984, in [Homs](/source/Homs), [Syria](/source/Syria)) is a [Syrian](/source/Syrian_people) [footballer](/source/Association_football). He currently plays for [Al-Shabab](/source/Al-Shabab_Club_(Manama)), which competes in the [Bahraini Premier League](/source/Bahraini_Premier_League) the top division in [Bahrain](/source/Bahrain). He plays as a [striker](/source/Forward_(association_football)).[1]

## Club career

Hamwi started his professional career with [Al-Karamah](/source/Al-Karamah_SC). In August 2008, he transferred to [Kuwaiti Premier League](/source/Kuwaiti_Premier_League) club [Tadamon](/source/Tadamon_(Kuwait)), he left the Kuwaiti club after four months. ## International career

Hamwi was a part of the Syrian U-19 national team that finished in Fourth place at the [AFC U-19 Championship 2004](/source/2004_AFC_Youth_Championship) in [Malaysia](/source/Malaysia) and he was a part of the Syrian U-20 national team at the [FIFA U-20 World Cup 2005](/source/2005_FIFA_World_Youth_Championship) in the [Netherlands](/source/Netherlands). He plays against [Italy](/source/Italy_national_under-20_football_team) and [Colombia](/source/Colombia_national_under-20_football_team) in the group-stage of the FIFA U-20 World Cup and against [Brazil](/source/Brazil_national_under-20_football_team) in the Round of 16.[2] He scored one goal against [Italy](/source/Italy_national_under-20_football_team) in the second match of the group-stage.[3]
