**Modum Fotballklubb** is a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) [football](/source/Football_(soccer)) club from [Modum](/source/Modum), founded in 2007 as a merger between the first teams of [Åmot IF](/source/%C3%85mot_IF), IL Moingen, [Vikersund IF](/source/Vikersund_IF), Haugfoss IF, Bingen BK and [Geithus IL](/source/Geithus_IL).[2] The merger plans had been ongoing for some time.[3]

It entered the league system for the 2008 season, taking the place of Åmot IF in the [Second Division](/source/Norwegian_Second_Division). Åmot started anew in the Fourth Division. However, already in the [first season](/source/2008_Norwegian_Second_Division) Modum were relegated. In addition, Åmot won promotion, so in [2009](/source/2009_Norwegian_Third_Division) the teams faced each other in the [Third Division](/source/Norwegian_Third_Division). However, Åmot was relegated after one season, while Modum have been playing in the Third Division since.
