The **Modern Egypt Party** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): حزب مصر الحديثة *Hizb Masr al-Haditha*) is an Egyptian political party made up of former members of the [National Democratic Party](/source/National_Democratic_Party_(Egypt)), the former [ruling party](/source/Ruling_party) in Egypt.[3]

## History

The Modern Egypt Party joined the [Egyptian Front](/source/Egyptian_Front) alliance in August 2014[5] and withdrew from it in May 2015.[6] Several months later, in August 2015, it joined the [For the Love of Egypt](/source/For_the_Love_of_Egypt) alliance[7] and won four seats in that year's parliamentary election.

The party joined the [National Unified List for Egypt](/source/National_Unified_List_for_Egypt) ahead of the [2020 Egyptian parliamentary election](/source/2020_Egyptian_parliamentary_election),[8] winning eleven seats.

Various candidates affiliated with the party ran in the [2025 Egyptian parliamentary election](/source/2025_Egyptian_parliamentary_election).[9]
