**Miss World 1965** was the 15th edition of the [Miss World](/source/Miss_World) pageant, held at the [Lyceum Ballroom](/source/Lyceum_Theatre%2C_London) in [London](/source/London), England, United Kingdom, on 19 November 1965. The winner was [Lesley Langley](/source/Lesley_Langley) of the United Kingdom.[2][3] She was crowned by Miss World 1964, [Ann Sidney](/source/Ann_Sidney) of the United Kingdom. This is the second time in Miss World history that a country has won for two consecutive years. Former British winner [Rosemarie Frankland](/source/Rosemarie_Frankland), [Miss World 1961](/source/Miss_World_1961), performed a dance routine alongside [Lionel Blair](/source/Lionel_Blair) as part of the show's cabaret.

This edition marked debut of Costa Rica, the Gambia, Malta, Rhodesia[a] and Syria, and the return of Australia and French Polynesia,[b] which last competed in [1960](/source/Miss_World_1960), and Bolivia, Cyprus, Israel, Jordan, Malaysia and Peru in [1963](/source/Miss_World_1963). Aruba, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, and the Republic of China, withdrew from the competition. [Zerrin Arbaş](https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zerrin_Arba%C5%9F) of Turkey withdrew from the competition for undisclosed reasons.[4]
