**Miss Grand Trat** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): มิสแกรนด์ตราด) is a Thai provincial [beauty pageant](/source/Beauty_pageant) which selects a representative from [Trat province](/source/Trat_province) to the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) national competition.[1][2][3][4] It was founded in 2016[5] by a university teacher, Chamreon Kangkasri (จำเริญ คังคะศรี).[6]

Trat representatives have yet to win the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) title. The highest and only placement they obtained in the contest was the 3rd runner-up, achieved in 2019 by Maneerat Daengprasert.[7]

## History

In 2016, after [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) began franchising the provincial competitions to individual organizers, who would name seventy-seven provincial titleholders to compete in the national pageant. The license for [Trat province](/source/Trat_province) was granted to a university teacher, Chamreon Kangkasri,[6] who organized the first Miss Grand Trat contest on May 17, 2016, in [Koh Chang](/source/Ko_Chang_district)[5] and named a model Jaruwan Rerkwichian the winner.[6] Kangkasri relinquished the license to Thanapat Sae-Ueng the following year.[8]

Occasionally, the pageant was co-organized with other provincial pageants; with [Miss Grand Chanthaburi](/source/Miss_Grand_Chanthaburi) – [Rayong](/source/Miss_Grand_Rayong) in 2017 and 2020,[9] and with [Miss Grand Chanthaburi](/source/Miss_Grand_Chanthaburi) in 2018 and 2022.[10][11]

The pageant was skipped once; in 2021, due to the [COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Thailand), the national organizer was unable to organize the national event, and the country representative for the [international tournament](/source/Miss_Grand_International_2020) was appointed instead.[12]
