**Miss Grand Surin** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): มิสแกรนด์สุรินทร์) is a Thai provincial [beauty pageant](/source/Beauty_pageant) which selects a representative from [Surin province](/source/Surin_province) to the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) national competition.[1][2][3][4] It was founded in 2016 by an event organizer company Double B Management, chaired by Preemart Hemathulin (ปรีมาศ เหมะธุลิน).[5]

Surin representatives have yet to win the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) title. The highest placement they obtained in the contest was in the top 12 finalists, achieved in 2018 by Pantawan Singsen.[6]

## History

In 2016, after [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) began franchising the provincial competitions to individual organizers, who would name seventy-seven provincial titleholders to compete in the national pageant. The license for [Surin province](/source/Surin_province) was granted to an event organizer led by Preemart Hemathulin,[5] who was also the licensee for other 4 [Isan](/source/Isan) contests, including [Yasothon](/source/Miss_Grand_Yasothon), [Amnat Charoen](/source/Miss_Grand_Amnat_Charoen), [Nakhon Phanom](/source/Miss_Grand_Nakhon_Phanom), and [Maha Sarakham](/source/Miss_Grand_Maha_Sarakham).[7] The first Miss Grand Surin was co-organized with the four mentioned contests on May 24, 2016, in [Mueang Maha Sarakham](/source/Mueang_Maha_Sarakham_district),[7] where an entrepreneur Sasinapa Alairam was named Miss Grand Surin.[8]

In addition to the 2016 edition, the pageant was also co-organized with other provincial stages in 2020 and 2025; with [Miss Grand Buriram](/source/Miss_Grand_Buriram)–[Amnat Charoen](/source/Miss_Grand_Amnat_Charoen)–[Yasothon](/source/Miss_Grand_Yasothon),[9] and [Miss Grand Nakhon Si Thammarat](/source/Miss_Grand_Nakhon_Si_Thammarat)–[Sukhothai](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Miss_Grand_Sukhothai&action=edit&redlink=1) [[th](https://th.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%B8%A1%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%AA%E0%B9%81%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%94%E0%B9%8C%E0%B8%AA%E0%B8%B8%E0%B9%82%E0%B8%82%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%A2)],[10] respectively.

The pageant was skipped once; in 2021, due to the [COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Thailand), the national organizer was unable to organize the national event, and the country representative for the [international tournament](/source/Miss_Grand_International_2020) was appointed instead.[11]
