**Miss Grand Ranong** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): มิสแกรนด์ระนอง) is a Thai provincial [beauty pageant](/source/Beauty_pageant) which selects a representative from [Ranong province](/source/Ranong_province) for the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) national competition,[1][2][3][4] founded in 2017,[1] by a Ranong-based entrepreneur, Nanmanat Wuttipattarapakorn (นันท์มนัส วุฒิภัทรปกรณ์).[5]

Since the first competition in the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) pageant in 2016, Ranong's representatives won the main title once; in 2020 by [Patcharaporn Chanthapradit](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Patcharaporn_Chanthapradit&action=edit&redlink=1) [[th](https://th.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%B8%9E%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%8A%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%9E%E0%B8%A3_%E0%B8%88%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%9B%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B0%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%A9%E0%B8%90%E0%B9%8C)], while the other representative was also placed Top 20 once; in 2024 by Natthawikarn Pheukamornkul.[6]

## History

In 2016, after [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) began franchising the provincial competitions to individual organizers, who would name seventy-seven provincial titleholders to compete in the national pageant, the license for [Ranong province](/source/Ranong_province) was purchased by a local entrepreneur, Sa-nga Kangwan (สง่า กังวาล), but the first representative was appointed. Later in 2017, Ninyakanon lost the franchise to another local organizer Nanmanat Wuttipattarapakorn (นันท์มนัส วุฒิภัทรปกรณ์),[5] who organized the first Miss Grand Ranong competition on 13 May 2017, in which a [Saint John's University](/source/Saint_John's_Group_of_Schools_and_University)'s student, Lalita Hongsamat, was named the winner.[1]

The pageant was skipped once; in 2021, due to the [COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Thailand), the national organizer was unable to organize the national event, and the country representative for the [international tournament](/source/Miss_Grand_International_2020) was appointed instead.[7]
