**Miss Grand Kalasin** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): มิสแกรนด์กาฬสินธุ์) is a Thai provincial [beauty pageant](/source/Beauty_pageant) which selects a representative from [Kalasin province](/source/Kalasin_province) to the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) national competition.[1][2][3][4] It was founded in 2016 by an event organizer Keravit Petchjul (กีรวิชญ์ เพชรจุล).[5]

Kalasin representatives have yet to win the [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) title. The highest placement they obtained in the contest was the 2nd runner-up, won in 2022 by Thanawan Wigg.[6]

## History

In 2016, after [Miss Grand Thailand](/source/Miss_Grand_Thailand) began franchising the provincial competitions to individual organizers, who would name seventy-seven provincial titleholders to compete in the national pageant. The license for [Kalasin province](/source/Kalasin_province) was granted to an education personnel Keravit Petchjul,[5] who organized the first Miss Grand Kalasin contest on May 21, 2016, in [Mueang Kalasin](/source/Mueang_Kalasin_district)[5] and named Thirada Saengsuwan the winner.[7] Petchjul relinquished the franchise to Pawornrat Prasertsukho (ปวรรัศมิ์ ประเสริฐสุโข) in 2020.[8]

Sometimes, the pageant was co-organized with other provincial stages; with [Miss Grand Mukdahan](/source/Miss_Grand_Mukdahan)–[Yasothon](/source/Miss_Grand_Yasothon) in 2019,[9] and with [Miss Grand Maha Sarakham](/source/Miss_Grand_Maha_Sarakham) in 2020,[10] 2022,[11] and 2024.[12]

The pageant was skipped once; in 2021, due to the [COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Thailand), the national organizer was unable to organize the national event, and the country representative for the [international tournament](/source/Miss_Grand_International_2020) was appointed instead.[13]
