Misbahuddin won the [2024 Pakistani general election](/source/2024_Pakistani_general_election) from  [NA-40 North Waziristan](/source/NA-40_North_Waziristan) as a [Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F)](/source/Jamiat_Ulema-e-Islam_(F)) candidate. He received 42,994 votes, while [independent](/source/Independent_(politician)) supported (PTI) [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf](/source/Pakistan_Tehreek-e-Insaf), candidate Aurangzeb Khan was the runner up with 33,852 votes.<ref>{{cite news
