"**Mindcircus**" is a song by English [electronic music](/source/Electronic_music) duo [Way Out West](/source/Way_Out_West_(duo)) featuring singer Tricia Lee Kelshall. It was released on 17 April 2002 through [Distinct'ive Records](/source/Distinct'ive_Records),[1] as the third single from Way Out West's second studio album *[Intensify](/source/Intensify)*.[2] The song peaked at #39 in the [UK Singles Chart](/source/UK_Singles_Chart) in 2002, and reached number 1 in the [UK Dance Chart](/source/UK_Dance_Chart).[3] The popularity of the song was extended by a remix from [Gabriel & Dresden](/source/Gabriel_%26_Dresden), which featured on [Tiësto](/source/Ti%C3%ABsto)'s *[In Search of Sunrise 3: Panama](/source/In_Search_of_Sunrise_3:_Panama)*.[4]

## Background

Following "Intensify", "Mindcircus" was released as the third single from *[Intensify](/source/Intensify)*. In 2002, [Black Hole](/source/Black_Hole_Recordings) released *Mindcircus (Remixes)* which reached #6 on *[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))'*s US [Dance Club Songs](/source/Dance_Club_Songs) chart.[5] A music video for the song was also filmed.[6]

[BBC Music](/source/BBC_Music)'s 2002 review of *Intensify* described the song positively, praising Trisha Lee Kelshall's vocal performance. Christian Hopwood wrote "Trisha Lee Kelshall provides a firm tie to their house moorings as her vocals chisel a melancholy edge to the lush arrangements of "Mindcircus"".[2]
