# Miles Bascombe

**Miles Cameron Bascombe** (born 12 January 1986) is a [Vincentian](/source/Saint_Vincent_and_the_Grenadines) cricketer who played a single [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) for the [West Indies](/source/West_Indies_cricket_team) in 2011. In West Indian domestic cricket, he has played for the [Windward Islands](/source/Windward_Islands_cricket_team) and the [Combined Campuses and Colleges](/source/Combined_Campuses_and_Colleges_cricket_team).

Bascombe's first appearance in a West Indian domestic competition came when he played for [Saint Vincent and the Grenadines](/source/Saint_Vincent_and_the_Grenadines_national_cricket_team) in the 2006 [Stanford 20/20](/source/Stanford_20/20), making appearances against the [U.S. Virgin Islands](/source/United_States_Virgin_Islands_national_cricket_team) and [Grenada](/source/Grenada_national_cricket_team).[1] The following year, aged 21, he made his debut for the Windward Islands, playing in both the four-day [Carib Beer Cup](/source/2006%E2%80%9307_Carib_Beer_Cup) and the one-day [KFC Cup](/source/2006%E2%80%9307_KFC_Cup).[2][3] Opening the batting with [Heron Campbell](/source/Heron_Campbell) on his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut against [Trinidad and Tobago](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago_national_cricket_team), he scored 37 and 53, finishing as his team's leading run-scorer for the match.[4]

Prior to the 2010–11 domestic season, Bascombe switched from the Windward Islands to the Combined Campuses team. After good form at the [2010–11 Caribbean Twenty20](/source/2010%E2%80%9311_Caribbean_Twenty20), where he led his team in runs,[5] Bascombe was called up to the West Indian squad for a [two-match T20I series in England](/source/West_Indian_cricket_team_in_England_in_2011).[6] He featured only in the second game, making three runs from seven balls before being dismissed by [Samit Patel](/source/Samit_Patel).[7] For the [2011–12 Caribbean Twenty20](/source/2011%E2%80%9312_Caribbean_Twenty20), Bascombe returned to the Windward Islands, although he continued to play for the Combined Campuses in the [2011–12 Regional Super50](/source/2011%E2%80%9312_Regional_Super50). Since the 2012–13 season, he has played solely for the Windwards.[1][3]
