# Mike Cuffe

**Mike Cuffe** is a [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) member of the [Montana Legislature](/source/Montana_Legislature). He was first elected to House District 2 in 2017.[2] Cuffe now represents Senate District 1 in the [Lincoln County](/source/Lincoln_County,_Montana) area. Cuffe received a [Journalism](/source/Journalism) degree from the [University of Montana](/source/University_of_Montana). He previously worked as an editor for Libby Western News[3] and as a [press secretary](/source/Press_secretary) for [Dick Shoup](/source/Richard_G._Shoup).
