He is the younger brother of [Florin Costea](/source/Florin_Costea).[1][2] ## Club career ### FC U Craiova Costea played in [Universitatea Craiova](/source/FC_Universitatea_Craiova) youth team. In 2008 the player was promoted to the first team, where he joined his older brother [Florin Costea](/source/Florin_Costea). Though his favorite positions are [striker](/source/Striker_(association_football)) or [winger](/source/Winger_(sports)), due to lack of players at [Universitatea Craiova](/source/FC_Universitatea_Craiova) he was often used as a [left midfielder](/source/Midfielder).
