The '''Midland Oak''' is an [oak](/source/oak) tree that grows in [Leamington Spa](/source/Leamington_Spa), [Warwickshire](/source/Warwickshire), near the [Lillington](/source/Lillington%2C_Warwickshire) boundary, at the junction of Lillington Road and Lillington Avenue.

A plaque nearby unveiled in 1988 states that the old tree, the original centuries old Midland Oak<ref>The King's England - Warwickshire (pub 1936, Arthur Mee, Editor), p.161, p.9 (photograph)</ref> was reputed to mark the [centre of England](/source/Centre_points_of_the_United_Kingdom). The present tree was planted about 1988, grown from an acorn saved in 1967 when the old tree, which had died, was cut down.<ref>History of Lillington - Warwickshire (pub 1990, John M. Winterburn), pp.25 & 32.</ref>
The tree survived the extensive work carried out in 2002, when an underground stream, the [Bins Brook](/source/Bins_Brook), was exposed and an overflow basin was created, to prevent the flooding of nearby houses.<ref>Leamington Spa Courier, April 4, 2002, "Flood Site Like a Battlefield"</ref>
