# Michelle Setlakwe

**Michelle Setlakwe** is a [Canadian](/source/Canadians) politician, who was elected to the [National Assembly of Quebec](/source/National_Assembly_of_Quebec) in the [2022 Quebec general election](/source/2022_Quebec_general_election). She represents the riding of [Mont-Royal–Outremont](/source/Mont-Royal%E2%80%93Outremont) as a member of the [Quebec Liberal Party](/source/Quebec_Liberal_Party).[1]

As of September 7, 2024, she serves as the opposition critic for Municipal Affairs, Access to Information and Privacy, Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies, and Chaudière-Appalaches.

She is the niece[2] of former Canadian senator [Raymond Setlakwe](/source/Raymond_Setlakwe),[3] and is married to former senator and federal cabinet minister [Michael Fortier](/source/Michael_Fortier).[4]
