# Michael Josephson

**Michael Josephson** (born December 10, 1942) is a former [law professor](/source/Law_professor) and attorney who founded the nonprofit Joseph and Edna Josephson Institute of Ethics[1] located in [Los Angeles, California](/source/Los_Angeles,_California), out of which he operates as a speaker and lecturer on the subject of ethics. The institute is named after his parents.[2]

Josephson's daily commentary is carried on [Armed Forces Radio](/source/American_Forces_Network), and was formerly carried on Los Angeles radio station [KNX 1070](/source/KNX_1070).[3] He is also the president of the national CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition,[4] a part of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.

A graduate of the [University of California at Los Angeles](/source/University_of_California_at_Los_Angeles) (UCLA), Josephson was named its 2009 alumnus of the year.[5] Josephson currently resides in southern [California](/source/California) with wife Anne and his 5 children.[6]
