==Biography==
Born in [Regensburg](/source/Regensburg), Geserer only started playing tennis at the age of 17; as a child, he played [soccer](/source/soccer) and ran [800](/source/800_metres) and [1000 meter](/source/1000_metres) races in track and field. Geserer achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 189 and featured in the qualifying draws of all four [Grand Slam](/source/Grand_Slam_(tennis)) tournaments.
